My fashionistas, the time has come! Let’s have a real chat about Epoca.
This all started a few days ago when I received a message in my Facebook inbox from this particular designer appreciating how she admires the way I style accessories in all my looks and also very gracefully requested me to take a look at her collection. I did a little research and signed up to write a post on her collection.
I am almost positive that Epoca is the new name for your ‘’glam bag.’’
A little background info before we begin:
As soon as the designer and founder of Epoca and I agreed on our collaboration, it took only few hours for her to dispatch this clutch, something I experienced rarely from Indian designers (Wish I could say the opposite, I love their creation but delivery on time? Well, it’s a topic to discuss on another day). So, Epoca ticked the box of my first priority- value time. The importance of ‘’Delivery on time’’ runs deeper than my love for the product iteself, I’m going to truly review this tie-dye clutch by Epoca from a OneTimeFashionista point of view. Are you with me?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m rather partial to a large, spacious changing bag that I can shove a million and one things in to cover every eventuality, but I can’t deny the charm of a glamourous clutch that is super portable, can be styled multi-ways and it is ingenious!
It’s the perfect solution for the times you want to travel light, going to parties, attending events or if you are like me who simply loves to carry it because of its pizzazz.
A Lil Bit of History
Founded by the young, vibrant and sparkly Sonam Vasa, Epoca Bags is based in India’s industrial capital- Mumbai. Epoca stands for ‘Vintage’ in Romanian. Inspired by history, Indian arts, crafts, architecture and sometimes by everyday things, today, Epoca is successfully filling a gap in the Indian and international market for stylish, traditional, ethnic clutch bags and pouches (Potlis) designed for fashionistas across the universe.
The Tie- dye Clutch
Featuring tie-dye rectangular box shape, this clutch comes with one internal secure compartment and detachable long gold chain handle. It is a compact and stylish solution to carry your phone, lipstick and hand mirror when going out! I have been a fan-forever of tie-dye pattern. This tie-dye clutch is handmade with love in India. All materials purchased from Indian vendors.
Colors
This tie-dye clutch is available in another color- Pink & Yellow.
Value for Money
The tie & dye clutch by Epoca is very reasonably priced at Rs. 2700 (Approx. GBP 27.00) and would make the perfect present for upcoming Christmas or wedding season in India. Or just treat yourself; after all you totally deserve it!
Other Epoca Collections
In addition to the tie & dye clutch Bag, Epoca’s product range also includes: box clutches (which look gorgeous if you style them for a party look) but my favorites are the Pouch bags also known as Potlis for that refreshing change in your look, and for days when you want to step out in an all Indian and traditional avatar.
In Summary…
I would definitely recommend getting your hands on the collection of Epoca Bags. It’s perfect for parties, special occasions, festival dressing-ups etc. when you don’t want or need to take all your paraphernalia with you and you just need the bare minimum. It’s well made, with soft velvet suede lining ensuring good quality, but also the clip-in button gives you easy one-handed access when needed.
The tie & dye print is lovely and soft, can be wiped clean. All in all, I’m a huge fan of this clutch bag and knowing how great the quality is, I think I may just have to purchase a Epoca bags Potli next.
You can purchase any of the products above by sending an email at epocabags@gmail.com. Alternatively you can buy them online here. You can also follow Epoca Bags on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date with their latest collections and promotions.
Disclosure: I was very kindly sent this tie & dye clutch bag free of charge for the purpose of this review, however all opinions are my own and I’d still rave about it even if i’d paid for it!
